What greater asset is there than our health? Our health is our greatest asset. It allows us to enjoy life in so many ways, for without it life becomes difficult in so many ways. With out our health we cannot enjoy the other "assets" in life.
To that end, my focus has been to build balance into my life so as to help others do the same. Along the way we all must face rocks in the road, imbalance that pulls on us either acutely or chroniclly. Our challenge is to take time to heal. To regaine balance.
This is my quest, in my own life-as I can only guess it is in yours as well-to find balance and health. For, I believe, that is our true nature.
In 1985, I graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachilors degree in Nursing Science. Anatomy and physiology was my favorite class. I did not want a desk job and it was my dream to travel the world. I spent ten years working in the Surgical intensive care unit of a few choice university hospitals around the United States. I spent four years in the emergency room in such places as Boulder Colorado and Eugene Oregon. I spent the last 16 years working in the post anesthesia care unit in such auspicious places as Whidbey island and Everett Washington. In 1994 I received my certificate to practice massage from the Colorado Institute of Massage . This was a 1500 hour advanced program for health professionals such as nurses. During all this time I realized my dream of traveling the world. I traveled to Surmang, a remote part of Tibet, to help build a medical clinic. I traveled to other remote parts of the world in each continent save Antarctica. In 1998 after returning from a shoestring trip and seeing how "the rest" of the world lives, I became passionate about building with natural materials. Natural building seemed to be the perfect fit for a traveler, adventurer and a healer. It combined an occupation with a recreation-what could be better? And it was good for the planet. I chose Whidbey island as a place to live in 2002, and founded Ancient Earth school of Natural Building. I taught the importance of using local sustainable materials to build beautiful structures

It is my observation that we "move" from the moment of conception until death. I am greatful for the opportunity to follow my calling-to help restore movement. And, although I have a long history of health care, I come to each session with a "clean slate". My first priority is to treat each client safely.
A short description of my specialty is as follows; Deep tissue and Myofacial release techniques. Therapeutic massage which treats that which ails you. I have extensive experience with post surgical delemas. My goal is to help restore full movement and release discomfort.
Thank you for this opportunity to share a bit about myself and my practice. Please go to my blog space to learn more about my practice.
May Peace be with you all,
Eli
